Join us for a special opportunity for youth readers to practice reading skills while helping shelter dogs feel calm, comforted, and enriched. Children can read to dogs from outside their kennels. While the dogs may not understand every word, they benefit from calm voices, companionship, and positive interaction!
In partnership with the County Libraries, you can sign up a child to read to a dog for 30 minutes at our East location.
