This park was built around a centerpiece that displays a steel beam remnant from the wreckage of the September 11, 2001 attack on the twin towers of the New York City World Trade Center. The artifact was recovered from Ground Zero. The park itself was designed with the intention to provide a serene environment for contemplation and remembrance.
