Satisfy your sweet tooth, create a delicious dessert and learn the basic techniques of cake decorating! Join Karen Elizondo, Pastry Chef, local Cottage baker and owner of Simply Pastry; who encourages whiskful thinking to create simply delicious pastries to celebrate any event! In this class we will discuss and practice techniques of cake preparation, frosting, piping tools, and decorating your own charming, personal-sized lunchbox cake. Participants will decorate their cake with pre-made buttercream, while applying their new skills in a relaxed, social setting. You will get to take home your delicious dessert to celebrate your accomplishment and evening of fun!
This class also highlights our new Library of Things collection—featuring cake decorating tools available for checkout—so attendees can continue practicing their skills at home. Registration for this event is required.
