Animal Rescue: Chat with a Pig Rescue Owner and Large Animal Vet

Join us for a special Summer Reading Challenge program: Come meet Danielle Betterman, owner of Better Piggies Rescue, and Dr. Burrows from AZ Mobile Vet. Learn how Danielle started the rescue, hear some rescue stories, and learn what it takes to run a pig rescue with over 200 pigs (and a few cows). Dr. Burrows will discuss information regarding pig health, common medical needs, and how he has firsthand helped Better Piggies Rescue. This program is open to all ages (anyone under 10 must attend with an adult), and perfect for anyone curious about pigs, rescue work, or proper care. Bring your questions for Danielle and Dr. Burrows. There will be no live animals at this event, but there will be plenty of pictures and inspiring short video clips! Summer Reading Challenge ends July 20! Make sure to log your final reading and activity points! This program is supported by Friends of Chandler Public Library.
